this weekend was major,
i mostly spent it remembering my piano teacher who passed away on the 7th
from breast cancer.
from attending Relay for Life and then her memorial,
it was fascinating to see how many lives she has touched.
i can only hope i have that much of an effect on others as she had.
Ms. James, you were an outstanding teacher, mother, grandmother,
friend and colleague.
you always saw the brighter side of things even when the cancer started to spread.
you knew how to help everyone you came across and it has truly encouraged me
to do the same.
i wouldn’t doubt it if the other people who have come to know you feel the same.
but, what i desperately wanted to say was, i was lucky to have met you.
you have definitely become a major impact in my life and i shouldn’t have met you.
with you almost not surviving the cancer 12 years ago,
everything could have been different.
but, i am truly lucky for it to have been this way.
everybody is actually, in the long run.
you will always be a part of me and i will share what i have learned from you with others.
i’m glad you are in a better pain free place,
i love and miss you dearly.
and i hope to cross paths with you in the afterlife.
